Thus, if you're against a spectre, and it's about 20 minutes into the game, you should be looking for her to click on her to see if she's close to her item! And if she has a radiance, you lose EVERY fight, to the point where supports should be staying in base until Spectre has used her ultimate. Most of these stomps see Spectre getting her Radiance in under 20 minutes. Click on "more guides at her dotabuff page and you can see the timing each game of when she gets Radiance. An important (usually core) hero in the match hits a certain level or item and then becomes the most powerful hero in the game, period. Hitting level 2 is really big, but is not a timing because it doesn't really enable fights the way something like a Spectre getting Radiance does.Ī timing is something all players in the match should know about. Yes - though I do want to say that all timings are powerspikes but not all powerspikes are timings. Knowing the timings of the hero’s you play is essential to learning and getting better on that hero. You’ll see in pro matches and high level pubs that once a certain hero hits a timing or powerspike like the aforementioned, it will be abused (smoke up and look for a fight etc) and usually if successful said hero will begin to snowball in a sense and that team will have the advantage. Others include hard carry’s like Spectre, Wraith King etc getting radiance (accelerates farm immensely) and one of the biggest ones being Anti Mage getting his battlefury. Earthshaker unlocking Echo slam/getting a blink (Blink + Echo is a huge timing). I’ll use examples from my hero pool so, Rubick getting level 6/getting a blink or force staff, or even Aghs. Or it’s when a hero gets a certain item that gives them what I said in brackets above. When a hero unlocks a certain ability that instantly makes them more powerful (giving them kill potential, teamfight, a save or even just a stun). You can show off your MMR/bracket by editing your custom flair text. It's also a good idea to include the current patch in your thread titles.
